During my studies, we initiated the “Waiters with Respect” project a proposal to improve the work conditions of waiters.

"At the study fair in Binyanei Hauma I met with the department of politics and communications of the Hadassah Academic College. I loved the unique combination of these two fields. Since I had immigrated to Israel 13 years before, I wanted to do something positive here, and the combination of politics and communications was the perfect platform for me to promote the issues that are important to me in this country.

At the college I always felt that I could speak and consult with the faculty, even now that I have completed my studies, I am in still in contact with a few of my lecturers. I have made connections and friendships for life. During my studies I took part in the “Above and Beyond” program – a program for the excelling students of the college, where we initiated the program “Waiters with Respect”. Due to our hard work, there is a law proposal on the tables of the Knesset that is meant to improve the conditions of waiters in the economy.

As of today I manage the “Nahalat Shiva Merchants” organization. This is an organization of the merchants of the Nahalat Shiva street in Jerusalem, that have come together in order to promote the neighborhood in several ways such as, creating events, performances, culture routine, and more. In the framework of my job I represent the neighborhood with the official organizations; I create the correct messages for each type of target audience, build budgets, timelines, branding, and more. I use tools that I received in the different courses I studied, and now I am working on building a series of events called “Shishuk”, where we will be offering the activities to the public on Fridays, during the months of May and June."
